A Silent Auction for Music 4 More

Those of you familiar with us know the most famous member in the band might be the battered yellow toolbox Tim plays on “Future’s Nothing New” from our Sucker’s Dream record. That toolbox has been with us since then; playing stages across the U.S. and quickly becoming a major highlight of our live shows.

Last month, after years of faithful service, the toolbox gave his all on stage in Munich, Germany. The handle broke off, the top shattered, and the toolbox was no more.

The good news is, we’ve found a new friend in what we’ve been calling “Toolbox 2.0,” which sounds almost as good and is working hard to fill the shoes of its predecessor.

It hurts to say goodbye to an old friend but we’ve decided to send our old toolbox off in style — by auctioning it off to our fans and using the proceeds to benefit Music 4 More, the charity we’ve partnered up with this October. The highest bidder by November 3rd will receive the famous yellow toolbox, with all the goodies left inside. More importantly, the winning bid will help support underfunded music programs in schools and communities across the U.S.

How do I send a bid? you ask. Simply send an email to info@music4more.org with the amount you’d like to bid and be sure to include all your contact info so we can get in touch with you if you win. You can also drop off your bid at one of our shows — just look for the Music 4 More table.

Thanks for all the support, and thanks for helping to keep music programs alive.

Update: Music 4 More moved the auction to eBay to make bidding easier for everyone. The auction ends on November 4. Good luck!
